About the New Business Manager role 

With a robust plan in place to achieve rapid sales growth, they now seek a high calibre New Business Manager to join the Victorian team. With a commitment to fostering long-term commercial partnerships with next-gen service providers, my client firmly believe they are only as good as the talent they develop.    Yes, they want sales super stars, but more importantly, they want leaders of tomorrow who can challenge the leaders of today.  Reporting directly to the State Manager, the New Business Manager (Indirect) will be responsible for prospecting, developing, and onboarding quality new business leads within the wholesale/dealer channel.  You will have access to a CRM system, direct marketing, and inbound leads, so you don't need to feel like you are all alone in the wilderness.  That being said, they are not the type of organisation that sit back and wait for success to just happen, they get out there and chase it.  So for the successful candidate, your level of tenacity and professionalism needs to match that of the business. 

  • Working with highly skilled Product Specialists and Operational Teams to support Service Provider revenue and profit. 
  • Engaging prospective clients and securing new business, encompassing a broad portfolio covering traditional and new-world telco products, as well as pushing into IT services 
  • Developing, maintaining, and converting a healthy pipeline of new business leads 
  • Ensuring all business opportunities in relation to Sales and Service Delivery exceed client expectations. 
  • Identifying cross-selling opportunities across IT hardware, managed services and telecommunications solutions. 
  • Ensuring a "white-glove" approach for Service Providers during the On-Boarding process. 
  • Sourcing and selecting quality partners that will grow with us over the coming years as our industry evolves. 
  • Above all else, be someone who the rest of team respects and wants to work with every day. 

About You

You will have a B2B Telco sales background and love the thrill of the chase in securing quality new business.  You will be well versed in the Telco landscape (retail or wholesale) and ideally have an existing network to farm leads, in addition to those that will be provided to you.  Most importantly you will have the desire and passion to succeed, a thirst to learn, and be motivated to achieve sales results.  You inherently understand what great customer leadership looks and feels like. 

  • You know how to generate trust and articulate value, because you love what you do and the person you are at work is the same as the person you are in your private life. 
  • You subscribe to the notion that the superior selling skills you have honed in a fast paced B2B environment are transferrable to any selling challenge. 
  • You are a team player first and foremost, who can buy into, and happily live by a strongly held set of values and behaviours. 
  • You are passionate about what technology can do for business and the evolution of the next-gen mobile workforce excites you. 
  • You are highly professional with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and have an uncanny ability to develop outstanding client relationships at all levels of an organisation. 

Key Selection Criteria 

  • Proven business development, HUNTING experience within a fast-paced B2B environment will be highly regarded. 
  • Excellent time management skills, initiative, ability to multi-task and work under pressure. 
  • Display a proven, consultative approach to relationships & engagement. An innate ability to break out of conventional seller/buyer transactional relationships, and take them on a journey to Trusted Advisor status. 
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, a genuine desire to be part of a winning team and the willingness to work hard, learn fast, and grow. 
  • Highly driven, self-motivated, and committed to professional development. 
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively. 
  • Preferably degree qualified. 
  • Current Australian driver's license and own reliable transport essential.
