APAC Vice President of Sales / VP of Sales APJ - Business Analytics Software


Our client is passionate about disruptive technologies and changing the face of “Big Data”.  This leading Business Analytic software vendor has an aggressive growth plan for the APAC region and require an exceptional Vice President of Sales to lead and drive it.

As an integral member of the executive team, the Vice President of Sales will execute and maintain a sales plan and strategy for achieving annual quotas and revenue targets for the company's products and services. The VP of Sales will steer the strategic direction by providing key market intelligence based on interactions with clients, prospects, channel partners and competitor activities. The VP of Sales will manage the APJ Sales Teams by driving revenue growth and increasing margins.

As the VP of Sales for APJ your focus will include:

  • Driving revenue in the region to achieve double digit growth within a 12-24 month timeframe
  • Play a key role on the senior management team, significantly contributing to the overall corporate strategy for APJ (Singapore, ASEAN, Korea, Japan, ANZ) 
  • Develop and articulate a coherent sales strategy for multiple market segments across multiple channels
  • Develop key partnerships, relationships and alliances with OEMs, strategic channel partners, systems integrators and professional services companies
  • forecasting and achieving quarterly targets, sales plans, compensation structures, and customer segmentation
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the sales teams

As the VP of Sales you will have the following Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience developing sales strategies and methodologies to facilitate rapid growth / business turnaround - 30-40% growth wanted over the next 18 months
  • A proven track record of success as VP of Sales in a multi-million dollar, multi-division global technology company
  • Reputation as “Industry Leader” with passion and leadership ability to propel a company to forefront in performance and revenue generation
  • Can demonstrate a history of managing a USD$20mil+ business
  • Software business experience preferably from a Business Intelligence / BI, Business Analytics Software, Data Warehouse, Big Data or similar US vendor
  • Prior experience building high performing sales teams of 20+ across the APAC region for vendor/s with revenues in excess of USD$500 million
  • Ability to develop key partnerships with Fortune 1,000 accounts
  • Someone who brings marquee value with the ability to forge relationships and alliances with OEM, strategic partners, systems integrators, and services companies, as well as possessing a strong understanding of end-user (Enterprise) requirements
  • Strong leadership skills with both strategic and tactical abilities
  • Strong resilience coupled with the ability to build a “change agenda”
