Our client has a proven track record and is a trusted advisor to many leading Broadcasters and Telecommunication companies.   They are renowned for providing complete turnkey solutions and services to industry for over 40 years.  Their extensive portfolio consists of Media Asset Management (MAM - to manage their entire media workflow) software, comprehensive Telco Software (business and operations support systems) and wireless transmission solutions.

With a new strategic APAC growth strategy, they now seek to appoint a Senior Account Director who can lead this initiative across the region and transform the way market understands converged IP platforms.

 

About the role

This Strategic Account Director will play a key role in new customer acquisition and the maintaining and supporting of key customers across the region.   This role will see you utilise your sales experience in Target Account Selling, engaging at “C-Level” and the ability to close seven figure deals.

This role calls for an experienced and strategic sales professional - someone with the energy, vision and commercial awareness to continue the profitable development and growth of the APAC market. 

About you

This role calls for a highly successful track record of enterprise software, systems and/or professional/managed services sales to major accounts, preferably Broadcasters, Telco’s and OTT providers.

You will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Manage new target accounts and identify, qualify, propose and close strategically important new business opportunities
  • Penetrate new application markets and customers
  • Identify key decision-makers and build strong relationships from “C-Level” down
  • A successful sales career with a long and consistent track record of goal achievement with a software OR professional/managed services supplier
  • A track record of achieving software and services sales in the MAM, PAM, DAM, BSS, OSS, VAS OR similar offerings
  • Good experience at winning sales on business cases rather than on feature / functions / benefits technology selling.  Targeted projects will need to be sold on ROI-based business cases
  • The proven ability to gain access to C-Levels of organisations, qualify opportunities and undertake strategic sales execution plans 
  • Strong commercial sense and the ability to keep a number of complex and concurrent transactions on track over long sales cycles (12 months plus)
  • A self-starter who operates effectively with minimal supervision
