Channel Account Manager

The Account Manager role

 

Reporting to the State Manager, this role will see you manage the day-to-day relationships between wholesale Channel partners.  These Dealers consist of a variety of retail stores, managed service providers and resellers of telecommunication solutions, namely to the SME market in Queensland.  

You will be given a portfolio of accounts that you will partner with to grow their business.   This Account Manager role will also see you secure new channel partners by cold calling and driving business development activities within your territory.

You will strive to achieve business outcomes with key stakeholders and support their sales activities with joint calls to their end user customers.  You will provide monthly account plans that track the good, the bad and the ugly in sales, tickets and support.

Get stuff done - update and deliver quarterly price books to service providers, assist products team with new product updates/rollouts, seek feed-back from service providers that assists with product/process improvements.

The Account Manager we're looking for

 

Ideally, you will have a minimum of 5 years' telecommunications experience (aggregator, indirect, wholesale OR channel).   You must be a sales professional who takes ownership, is a team player, self-starter, excited by challenges, a strong time manager, have great communication skills, a pro-active sales style and eager to develop your sales career.  
  
You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience working within in the Telecommunication, IT or ICT industries
  • Experience expanding products, services and revenues into an existing install base of customers
  • Comfortable presenting to a range of decision makers from business owners to a board of directors
  • A proven track record in challenging conventional seller/buyer transactional relationships, and taking key customers on a journey to Trusted Advisor status.
  • A proven track record of achievement
